MEET OUR EXECUTIVE TEAM
Hasan is Irshad Manji's executive assistant. Born and raised in the UK, he met Irshad while studying religion and neuroscience at Cambridge University. The two have since been inseparable—except for the fact that Hasan lives in Egypt and is typically ahead of Irshad in both time zone and pop culture awareness.
HASAN EL-JAFFERY
ASSISTANT TO THE FOUNDER
As Managing Director, Allison teaches, certifies, and weaves together our growing community of Moral Courage Mentors. Her leadership experience started in business and expanded to research.
A scholar of behavioral science, she most recently led the Hidden Talents Lab in the University of Utah's psychology department.
Allison and her family live near Salt Lake City.
ALLISON GERRARD
MANAGING DIRECTOR
CECILIA VILLALBA
OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Irshad is the founder of the Moral Courage Network. A prize-winning leadership professor at New York University for many years, she now teaches with the Oxford Initiative for Global Ethics and Human Rights.
The recipient of Oprah's "Chutzpah Award" for boldness, Irshad is also a New York Times bestselling author. Her latest book is Don't Label Me: How to Do Diversity Without Inflaming the Culture Wars. (Fun fact: Chris Rock calls the book "genius." Another fun fact: Not everybody agrees with Chris Rock.)
Irshad lives in New York City.
IRSHAD MANJI
FOUNDER
Hasan is Irshad Manji's executive assistant. Born and raised in the UK, he met Irshad while studying religion and neuroscience at Cambridge University. The two have since been inseparable—except for the fact that Hasan lives in Egypt and is typically ahead of Irshad in both time zone and pop culture awareness.
As Director of Operations,
Cecilia makes everything flow smoothly. A resident of Buenos Aires, she speaks five languages and has spent more time in different countries, including Switzerland and Canada, than in her country of birth, Venezuela.
The only label that truly applies to Cecilia is "plural": she is so much more than meets the eye.
