Genesis Be is a hip hop artist, published poet, and Global Ambassador for Moral Courage.

She co-stars in our award-winning film, Mississippi Turning, which follows her effort to learn from Louis McFall, a working-class man who supports the Confederate battle flag. Along the way, Genesis realizes that leading with curiosity and empathy brings out the same in Louis.

 

That’s her message when she comes to schools and screens the 30-minute film. Genesis also leads an interactive discussion with viewers, folding their responses into her teaching of the Moral Courage skill set.
